"Well, let us be off then." Noah had started towards the door and held it open for Vira. Once outside Noah turned in the direction of the school dorms. It was only a five minute walk and the night air was refreshing against Noah's pale skin. The darkness was also calming, he had spent so much time in the bright light, in the fire, that the darkness seemed to wash over hime like a cooling river. Water? Vira was water. Perhaps she had something to do with his new founf peace. Fire and Water. So opposite, yet they work well together.

Vira walked beside him, letting a small breeze wash over her face, feeling the night like a great river- the great river that it was, migrating across the sky as a great snake, according to the legends of the people. "Isn't it so lovely tonight?" she asked, looking at the beautiful stars, pinpricks of fire in the great burning river of Dark.

"That it is. Reminds me of home." His words were light and had no heavy meaning, they seemed to blow away with the wind and vanish across the purple horizon. They were getting close to the dorms now and there was a feeling of end now. But tomorrow would bring a beginning, and that was a good thought to think upon.

"Home... the farm?" Vira inquired. She was curious... For now, a faint purple light lit the horizon, reminding her already of the tomorrow, when the river of Dark would merge with that of the light. Vira would ride the skies with Canterbury, splasihing through the shalows of the park in the reflection of the great Rivers.

"I guess you could call it home." He said softly. He smiled at Vira and tried to seem as if he wasnt day dreaming about things long past.

"Well my home was New York. Hmm. Maybe I should explain myself. I grew up as a kid in NY, but when I turned 13 I moved out to the farm. NY is where my heart is, though i love the farm very much too. Its just a different love." Noah hoped he had made sense.

"Oh..." Vira didn't quite understand, having lived in Bar Harbor her whole life, but in a sense she could tell- it was like the difference between loving a sister and a distant cousin. That she was familiar with.

"Well we are here." Noah had just noticed that they had stopped walking and stood in front of the dorms. They cast a gray shadow on the evening, it was some how saddening. But Noah pushed away the thought and enjoyed his time here.

Vira looked into his eyes, so deep and lovely, and abandoned the caution she had proceeded with so far. She leaned in, putting his lips to hers, and kissing him- the first time she had ever kissed a boy.

A shock ran down his body as he felt Vira's lips touch his own. His hand moved up to wrest on her arm until the kiss was over. He stared down at Vira and couldnt help but smile. "I had a wonderful day Vira. I hope I get to see you soon, if that is okay with you." His voice now was a little shakey and he felt emarresed by himself.

Vira stepped back, a little shocked with herself, but pleased. "That would be wonderful, Noah. Call me?" Not even waiting for a response, not wanting to bely her shaking nerves, she gave him a tantalizing smile before she sashayed back into the girls' dorm to interrupt Anaesty with whatever it was she was up to.

Noah waited until Vira was out of sight. His father had taight him well to be a gentlemen, afterwards he wondered off towards his own dorm, allowing his steps to be slow and filled with the memory of the evening. He wondered when an appropriate time to call Vira would be. But then figured hed worry about that later. He was sure Kayla was going crazy back home. And he was not particulary looking forward to the clean up ahead. But he still quickened his pace and turned the corner to the dorm.
