Gradening {Open}

[Annah]

"Oh nothing." She quickly, just a little too quickly. She felt the blood rush to her cheeks. She was blushing. "So umm.. Tell me about yourself." she said as she dragged herself back to the drivers seat and put it in reverse. A moment later they were tearing down the road hitting no red lights as always.

[Tsayani]

Citrus looked at her his face flushing a rosy red for a moment, before he akwardly looked down at the floor board. "Oh um well," he stumbled over the words. Where should he begin? "I like the forest the plants anything that's living really..." He began. A flash back inturupted him...his hand instinctivly wrapped around his stomach.

Flashback

"Hurry get him in the car now Sawyer!" A younger Madeline shouted to her husband who held a seven year old Citrus in his arms. The man put the boy in the back of the car carefully and ran around to the drivers side as his wife ducked into the car quickly. The boy groaned in pain and shifted slightly you could tell something was wrong if the blood covering the orange haired child's shirt didn't tip you off already.

In the emergency room....

"He's connected to life support we're ready to begin the procedure..." the doctor an old man with a snow white mustache said looked at Sawyer with pale gray eyes. Sawyer nodded, then the shout of Madeline caught his attention.

"Sawyer! Citrus is to young!" Madeline argued behind the glass. "we didn't even do this to Bast until he was eleven!"

"There is no other choice I'm not taking any risks." Sawyer said rather coldly. "begin." The shot was pressed into the boy's arm who was sleeping at the time. Suddenly though the boy was fully awake screaming in pain, his hands gripping the sheets to the point of ripping them. His eyes dialated and turned almost cat-like as the full effect of the shot ran through. After around a half an hour the screams subsided and the boy lay motionless on the bed, life support doing it's job.

[Annah]

Meg had allowed a red light to stop then when she noticed Citrus spacing off. "She place her hand on his arm and whispered his name softly. She was sure he could here her now and began talking trying to distract him from whatever was bugging her. "My father is the cheif of police here. Captain Thompson to be exact. He has what I think is an ability to track people down, but he says its a police officers intuition. My mother she is a nurse in San Fransico. She's getting remarried to some baseball player. I dont really know much about him. And youve met my brother Paul. He is well. You'll just have to get to know him. I also have a younger brother named Todd. He lives with my mom. Hes in seventh grade now I think. Then there is me. Little old electrical freak. Or so Ive been told by the kids at school." She finally stopped, hoping he was feeling better.

[Tsayani]

He snapped back to reality his memories stoping short just after he'd woken up from the shot, two years later. "Oh," he managed. "Interesting, well you've already met my family. My father is a buisness man who dables in medicine he controls plants like I do...and my mother is a stay at home type though she works various odd jobs when she has nothing to do she controls fire...my brother Bast was the risk taker always wanting to have a good time. Acutally I would've had a sister if she hadn't died shortly after being born." Talking about her family and then allowing him to talk about his brought his mind off of the two years he'd lost in the coma. It'd came as a shock to the nine year old who still thought he was seven...

[Annah]

meg nodded thoughtfully as she listened to Citrus. She enjoyed spending time with him. It had only now occured that in one day she had met this boy, became friend, had him pretend to be her boyfriend, watched him have a horrible attack, met his parents, yelled at his dad, and still been allowed to hang out with him. Wow. She was busy wasnt she. "So does the plant lover have himself a girlfriend. Because if some girl starts giving me dirty looks for hanging out with you. Id love to be informed before hand." Her words were light and airy.

[Tsayani]

He leaned back on the seat allowing himself to relax a little. "No I do not," he replied. "your my first friend in this town. I've never been in a seirous relationship just friends...father wouldn't allow it, not that I ever found anyone there." He sighed a little and gazed out the window for a moment, the smile on his face had yet to return. "Six o' clock," he murmured the time aloud. "Hopefully it won't last two years this time..."

[Annah]

Meg pulled the car up to the curve and shut off the engine. "What do you mean?" She asked as she pulled him out of the car. She had his hand in hers again and was leading him towards a swing set. They had somehow ended up at the park. She let his hand fall from her and she sat on a swing. Her legs pushed it back and fourth, but she remained low to the ground. Not swinging very high.

[Tsayani]

"Um the...procedure..." he replied. "when I was seven I went through it for the first time..." He looked down at his shoes. "Yeah...when I woke up I was nine years old...I just hope that doesn't happen again tonight." He had to obey his father, that was the man who gave him everything he had, the one who cared even if it didn't seem like it...His father was just doing what was best for him right? In the very pit of the orange haired boy's stomach he wondered if it really was the best for him, and if it was that was a crappy best.

[Annah]

"I dont want to have to wait two years to see you again. Is this all I am going to be blessed with? A day. If so, than it has been the best day. But I pray I have more." She stood up and walked towards him. There was a hesitation as she looked down at the ground. She threw her arms around him in a hug that lasted for a moment. As she pulled away she kissed his cheek. "Please, come back after tonight." Quickly she turned her back to hide her face. She was unsure what his reaction would be.

[Tsayani]

He was a little shocked that she'd kissed him, well on the cheek but still... He could feel himself blushing and averted his eyes to the ground the blush growing a deeper red. This was why in his old town he was often called Tomato. He'd blush a very bright red that did infact resemble a tomato. All he could say about after tonight was this. "I can try to come back tomorrow..." he shuffled his feet slightly and walked towards her wrapping his arms around her from behind. He rested his head on the back of her head, his eyes turning cat like as he spoke next. "I promise Meg...I'll try to come back as soon as I can."

[Annah]

"Thats all I ask." She found herself content in his arms. She wasnt sure why but she allowed him to hold her there. She thought about what he might endure when he got home. How she wish he wouldnt have to. But she knew she couldnt stop it from happening.

[Tsayani]

Suddenly a hand wrapped around Citrus's collar and tugged. He released Meg and looked behind him to see a boy with black hair and green eyes looking down at him.
"U-Ul?" he said looking up at the older boy. "Fancy meeting you here..."
"No time for talk, you're going into the procedure tonight correct?" Citrus nodded. "Alright...just be careful and make sure your father knows he's back." Citrus felt the air whoosh out of his lungs and almost couldn't force himself to take in another breath.
"You are not....how they say kidding around..." He wheezed out. Ul shook his head.
"No Nakura and I sensed it not long ago...he's very much alive..."
"And Dear Cousin?" He asked looking hopeful at him.
"She's alright, he hasn't found her yet." Citrus sighed. "Good, good... more troubles woudn't be good."
"Yes but he'll target you while you're on life support...don't give him that chance wake up soon or you most likely won't wake up at all."

[Annah]

Meg turned back when she felt Citrus release her. A man who she soon learned was named Ul was talking to Citrus about the treatment and other things. It didnt make sence to her and there was something about the dark haired boy that made her want to get far away from him. Not wanting to listen to their conversation Meg walked towards the slide on the far side of the park bench. She tripped over the bark a few times, showing her klumsy self again.

The two boys continued to talk and Meg grew bored. A sudden idea flashed into her mind and she allowed electricity to draw to her finger tips. Slowly at first. She started to dance. It was a mixture of ballett and contemorary lyrical. She moved softly her body contorting as she pleased and the electricity grew into long strands that danced with her as well. She had never told anyone here that she had taken dance lessons since she was a small child. No one would believe here after seeing how klumsy she was anyways. She finished her excerise with a soft flow of elecrtic pulses and looked back at the boys. They seemed to be finishing their conversation and hadnt noticed her. She smiled at herself. She had enjoyed this breif moment of peace, away from the trouble of the day.

[Tsayani]

"I'll wake up..." He murmured. Ul looked him over.
"Then why do you tremble?" He questioned. Citrus sighed Ul always had a way of 'reading' people.
"I was already nervous about the procedure and now having someone wanting my head on a silver platter doesn't make me any less nervous..."
"Well he doesn't just want your head...he wants all of us dead." Ul reminded. He patted Citrus on the back. "Just don't die on us ok Cit? I dont' think Tsayani can take much more of this family loss stuff."
"I won't die!" Citrus said sighing. "There's already to much for me to live for again..." After saying that he looked over at Meg for a moment.
"I see in love with a mortal girl are we?"
"She can manipulate electricity..."
"Tch everyone is a mortal in our case." Ul said, his expression not changing for the monatone stare. "I'm off...I need to find out a few more things, Enjoy being alive while you're able."

[Annah]

Meg had started kicking the dirt up with the toe of her old black converse. She wondered who the Ul man was and what he had wanted. But she was to scared to find out, to tear at her own heart anymore. Perhaps he wasnt so bad, maybe an old friend just coming to say hello. But there was something deep down within her that doubted it.
